At the head of the noisy streets she cries out;
At the entrance of the gates in the city she utters her sayings:
Wisdom is personified as a women, this personification is also found in Proverbs 3:15–18; 8:1–36; 9:1–12. Her pleads are made at the “head of the noisy streets”. She also utters sayings at the “entrance of the gates in the city.” These two locations are where the mass of people would gather on a daily bases. So wisdom is not hidden, nor is it hard to find. But those places are also loud and chaotic. Wisdom is readily available to anyone willing to listen, but for those consumed by the busyness and distractions of daily life, her pleas can easily be drowned out by the noise of the city.
